Our experienced Occupational Therapists Travis Jenkins and Kathryn Phillips will help you overcome your acute or long term injury or assist you back to a level of functioning that has deteriorated due to deconditioning. We understand pain and stiffness will affect your quality of life and prevent you from meeting your physical potential.  Our priority is to facilitate, encourage and challenge movement in all painful muscles and joints. Our patients, who span all ages and capabilities, are empowered to challenge their movement safely to overcome pain therefore allowing them to interact, engage and participate in the activities they love! The point of difference at Bodyflex  is that Travis and Kathryn are one of only a few therapists who are trained in the evidence based technique of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation and we will get you moving again!

Wondering if Occupational Therapy is for you?

Occupational Therapy treats soft tissue (a collective term for muscles, tendons, fascia and ligaments), focusing on the interrelationship between occupation and soft tissue function.

Soft tissue dysfunction may be a result of major incidents that have occurred throughout life, such as a car accident or sports injury. They may also be a result of more subtle influences which have accumulated over time, such as emotional stress, repetitive overuse injuries, poor posture or challenging workplace environments.

We can treat a wide range of symptoms and conditions

Individuals who experience one or more of the following symptoms can benefit from soft tissue occupational therapy:

Tension Headaches/migraines

Reduced joint movement

Mid/upper back pain

Sporting related sprains and strains

Low back pain

Joint ache/pain

Post operative rehabilitation

Tight/weak muscles

Acute and chronic hand and upper limb pain

Postural Improvement

To give you a sense of who we see our existing clients include mums and dads with baby/toddler handling neck pain, FIFO workers who can't lift their arms above their head or sleep on one side, elite ballet dancers who want to improve flexibility, clumsy kids with weak core who need to improve coordination and movement, elderly people looking to prevent falls, corporate office workers who can't put their socks on in the morning because they have tweaked their back......and more.
People who are interested in maintaining an optimal level of function before experiencing symptoms will also benefit from care.

We offer Telehealth appointments.

How can a Telehealth appointment help you?

Over Telehealth, our therapists are able to complete a wide range of diagnostic assessments to help devise the necessary rehabilitation plan for your needs. In a Telehealth consult your therapist can quickly prescribe specific DNS movements to help manage your pain/condition. In addition, your therapist will be able to coach you through the movements so that they are done correctly. And all of this in the comfort of your own home!
